On-Track Students
If you’ve successfully completed your first year and are on track for your engineering major, you’ll transition to departmental advising beginning in the fall of your second year (or spring, if you’re in the Innovation Academy).

If you haven’t transitioned to your department due to:
- Critical tracking probation
- Academic probation
- Starting in math before MAC 2311
You’ll continue working with the Second Year Program within the Center for Student Excellence. Our team will support your academic progress and help you get back on track.

Transfer Students
Planning to transfer to UF Engineering? Be sure to:
- Connect with an advisor in your intended major before applying.
- Understand that admission decisions for transfer students are made by each department.
