Students join organizations and design teams to gain experience, join a community of peers working towards a common goal, and build their social and professional networks. It’s up to you to decide which organizations and how many organizations to join! Since you are an engineering student, it is encouraged that you join at least one engineering-related organization. The quality of your involvement (depth of contributions and long-term commitment) is valued more than quantity.

Design Team: Provide opportunities for students at the University of Florida to develop their technical and collaborative skills in a practical and competition-focused environment. Our team seeks to give members the space to learn, grow, and innovate while pursuing team success in the annual national competition.

Membership: We are open to all majors of any years and any experience level. There is no application process and members can join anytime, however joining in the fall semester of at the start of the spring semester is best for the member’s involvement in the team. We teach all necessary skills to be a contributing member.
