Students join organizations and design teams to gain experience, join a community of peers working towards a common goal, and build their social and professional networks. It’s up to you to decide which organizations and how many organizations to join! Since you are an engineering student, it is encouraged that you join at least one engineering-related organization. The quality of your involvement (depth of contributions and long-term commitment) is valued more than quantity.

Membership: As a student branch of SPIE(International Society for Optics and Photonics), our purpose is to affiliated student groups who are studying optics and photonics at the university. We will create the active connection between SPIE and our students. We believe the future belongs to optics and photonics, and the future of these technologies is in the hands of our students. Currently, there’s no other such organization which gathers students who like and study optics and photonics.
