Students join organizations and design teams to gain experience, join a community of peers working towards a common goal, and build their social and professional networks. It’s up to you to decide which organizations and how many organizations to join! Since you are an engineering student, it is encouraged that you join at least one engineering-related organization. The quality of your involvement (depth of contributions and long-term commitment) is valued more than quantity.

Missions Statement: Women in Nuclear (WIN) primary purpose is to provide students at the University of Florida with an outlet to learn more about nuclear energy and technology, regardless of prior knowledge and/or experience, and to create connections between members of the different colleges of the University of Florida. WIN will host a variety of events, meetings, and workshops for members to engage with each other and the greater Gainesville community on the intersectional applications of nuclear science and technology.
