Students join organizations and design teams to gain experience, join a community of peers working towards a common goal, and build their social and professional networks. It’s up to you to decide which organizations and how many organizations to join! Since you are an engineering student, it is encouraged that you join at least one engineering-related organization. The quality of your involvement (depth of contributions and long-term commitment) is valued more than quantity.

Mission: LeetGator is a student-led organization at the University of Florida dedicated to building a vibrant community of students passionate about coding, algorithmic problem-solving, and technology. Our purpose is to enhance technical skills through hands-on workshops, coding challenges, and interactive sessions. We promote collaborative learning by hosting peer-to-peer study groups and team-based projects that prepare members for technical interviews and competitive programming. Additionally, we facilitate professional growth by organizing guest speaker events and networking opportunities with industry professionals.
