NIMET graduate and undergraduate students, as well as post doctoral scholars, from several colleges and many departments at the University of Florida are actively engaged in research on nanoscale science, engineering, technology, and their applications. Providing an inclusive culture that enables students to bridge between disciplines is important for their professional development and vital for achieving multidisciplinary discoveries in the laboratory and translating them into socially and economically impactful outcomes.

• Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Club (NNC): The NNSC is a student-run organization developed to enhance knowledge in the areas of nanotechnology and nanoscience.
• NIMET Fellows: Since 2012, NIMET has sponsored supplemental fellowships for Ph.D. students doing doctoral research in nanoscience and technology.
