Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering alumnus was honored with the Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy

Daniel Kleinman, Founder & CEO at Seaworthy Collective, an alumnus of Engineering Innovation Institute and Leadership Institute at the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, is the 2022 winner of the Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy from the Foundation Prince Albert II de Monaco and Tocqueville Foundation.

Daniel is the youngest and the first winner under 30 years old of this 12-year prize, representing the next generation of impact leaders.

HSH Prince Albert II spoke about the need to shift away from individualism and use models similar to Seaworthy’s to democratize opportunity for the ocean.

“This distinction truly validates the work we’ve done at Seaworthy and the systemic changes we have already started moving the needle. It also shows what collective determination and participation can accomplish when accessible opportunity reaches those with the passion for contributing,” said Daniel.
