Dr. Zhoungyang Cheng, McWane Professor in Materials and Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University Detections and Food Safety Center (AUDFS)

In this seminar, we will present some new sesnor technologies developed in recent years in AUDFS at Auburn University for both pre-and post-harvest applications. For preharvest practices, technologies to monitor the soil and water conditions are developed, which could be used to promote the agriculture productivity and to improve the quality and safety of food. For postharvest applications, sensor technologies are developed to ensure the safety of food during the harvest, process, package, and distribution and to prevent the release of contaminated food.
