Join us for the Emerging Pathogens Institute virtual COVID-19 Vaccine Seminar Series. Our second speaker is UF biostatistician Natalie Dean who will talk about estimating COVID-19 vaccine efficacy.

Dean is an assistant professor in UF’s College of Public Health and Health Professions and UF’s College of Medicine, Department of Biostatistics. She is also a faculty member in UF’s Emerging Pathogens Institute. She specializes in the statistical analysis of emerging infectious diseases, with applications to the study of Ebola, Zika, HIV, and COVID-19. Her current focus is on the design of Phase 3 clinical trials and post-licensure studies to evaluate vaccines during public health emergencies.
