Title: Introduction to Git

Abstract: This seminar will present a brief introduction to the version control system, Git, and the hosting service, GitHub. We will discuss a bottom-up explanation of Git, starting with its data model and later covering the command-line interface.

Short Bio: Dr. Catia S. Silva is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, focusing her expertise in machine learning, data science and engineering education. She is a GitHub Campus Advisor, the 2021 UF IEEE & HKN Faculty of the Year and the recipient of the 2022 ECE Excellence in Teaching award.
