Strong Bones to Soybeans: Determining Quality in Biological and Biomedical Materials
Bio:
Kevin Hoffseth is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at LSU. He attended University of California Santa Barbara for his PhD focusing on indentation fracture in cortical bone, and his current main research areas are dedicated to investigating structural bone health and quality, and automated post harvest analysis of soybeans. Kevin has received funding from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the National Science Foundation, the United Soybean Board, and will probably be involved in patent applications for soybean grading technology until the end of time.
