Details

The GRiP Designathon is a student-run design event that brings together students from all majors and experience levels to tackle open-ended challenges centered around accessibility and assistive technology. Working in teams, participants will explore real-world problems and develop design-based solutions, focusing on creativity, problem-solving, and human-centered design rather than building physical prototypes.

The event is intentionally low-stress and beginner-friendly, with no prerequisites or prior design experience required. Mentors and resources will be available throughout the day to support teams as they brainstorm, refine ideas, and communicate their solutions.

Whether you’re new to engineering or looking to apply your skills in a meaningful way, the GRiP Designathon is an opportunity to collaborate, learn, and design with impact in a welcoming environment.
