Title:
ABE Biocomplexity Engineering seminar: “Activating Data: Operationalizing Analytics Across the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport”

Bio:
Savannah Morgan serves as the Data Science Manager in the Environmental Affairs Department at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, where she encourages the development and integration of data-driven tools to enhance sustainability and operational resilience. Dr. Morgan participates in cross-departmental initiatives that fuse siloed datasets into unified analytics platforms that inform predictive and proactive decision-making. Her collaboration has guided initiatives to enhance the energy efficiency of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), promote proactive traffic congestion management, and conduct a comprehensive analysis of noise data to inform and engage the surrounding community. During her doctoral studies, she specialized in machine learning and spatiotemporal analysis of complex climate-vulnerable biophysical systems. By positioning data science as a strategic connector across departments, she helps embed analytics into DFW’s long-term sustainability planning, showcasing that complex environmental problems demand technical fluency and system-level thinking.
