Bio:
Dr. Ziynet Boz is an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Food Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. Her work integrates food engineering and packaging to address sustainability challenges across food systems. Her research focuses on food loss and waste mitigation, sustainable and intelligent packaging, modified atmosphere packaging, process modeling and optimization, and life cycle assessment. She has collaborated with industry, startups, and multi-stakeholder organizations on sustainable packaging and processing solutions. Dr. Boz earned her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering (Food Packaging) from the University of Florida as a Fulbright Scholar and holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Food Engineering from Mersin University, Turkey.
