Bio:
Helen Haase is a researcher in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University of Florida, working on the IFWASTE project with Dr. Boz and Dr. Kiker, where she focuses on designing and developing an agent-based model to study household food waste. She is also pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany, specializing in Autonomous and Intelligent Systems as well as Data Science. Helen completed her Bachelor’s degree in European Computer Science through a joint program between the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg and the Universidad de Burgos in Spain. Her Master’s thesis is exploring the application of cooperation mechanisms and reinforcement learning in heterogeneous multi-agent systems.
