Ulbert received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (focused in Signals & Systems) with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he graduated with Cum Laude honors. He is currently working for his doctoral degree under the guidance of Dr. Domenic Forte at the Florida Institute of Cyber Security. Ulbert’s main research focuses here are the development and security of wearable and implantable medical devices. As well as the use of physiological traits and signals for biometric authentication and identification.

Ulbert’s research interests include Biomedical Applications, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Biometrics, Implantable/Wearable Medical IoT devices, and Hardware Security.
