 Gator Outreach Initiative

The UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering is committed  to supporting outreach and services in STEM education for K-12 students throughout the state of Florida.  The Office of Student Transition and Retention (STAR) partners with and receives generous donations from major engineering corporations such as Exxon Mobil and Kraft in support of K-12 programming.  The Gator Outreach Initiative utilizes these resources to expose K-12 students to the world of engineering through on-site campus visits, school visits, apprenticeships and diverse experiential learning activities that inspire a deeper curiosity and interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
